Original -1n pressing. Gr eat sounding original early 60s issues on thick vinyl. Wonderful lower midrange. The
-1 stamper # would be a tube cut.  With Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover & Emitex sleeve.
Comments;
Comments; - I can't hear much difference between Capitol East and West coast pressing, but this 'contract'
pressing does sound different, even warbly in spots. You can compare and east and west coast on MTB below.

The second example here, (side two),  is probably from an earlier press than the htm issues.

All recordings were made using the exact same signal path and levels;  Technics SL1200 Turntable, with an
Audio Technica  AT 150MLX Cartridge,  through a tube phono amp and into an EMU 0404 soundcard (AKM
AK4396 converters). The tracks were normalized, and very minor level adjustments made, but were not
digitally processed any further before transferring to wav files.  Each song contains a light audio watermark.

Comments; -  Just for comparison, clips from my CD, with contain the 1987 remasters.
The EP was issued in the early 90s. It has significantly more bass than the 87 version.

Unfortunately I don't have this mono issue of 'Please Please Me'.
But on the "Hard Day's Night" page you can compare both a 1982 and a 1986 vinyl issues. They do sound different.

Comments;
This copy is in poor conditon, with  wear and surface distortion. I've posted  these clips, just for general comparison
of this matrix #. But the sound is a bit dull and distorted. Judge accordingly.

Comments;
This copy is also in quite poor condition, with  wear and surface distortion. I will only include two clips just for general
comparison of this matrix #, but the sound not good. Judge accordingly..... Otherwise, these thick vinyl 'one box'
pressings should be very close in sound to original yellow and black labels. Same -1n matrix #.

Comments; -     These are great sounding issues using a different master than the UK
Issues. Many consider this to be the best sounding Stereo Vesrion of PPM. Three
pressings were made. The original 64 "Die Beatles", a PPM 1969 Apple
(1C-062-04219) and PPM 1977 Apple (1C-072-04219) copy. A Blue Odeon was also
released along with the apple issue. I would assume they have the SHZE matrix.

Most of my records are in excellent condition, but clips from noisier copies may be included here in order to present certain pressing variations. Most of
the clips were transferred under identical conditions. However further level adjustments may be necessary for accurate comparison. This page features
more common pressings, and is a work in progress. Each wav file contains a light audio watermark. Comment and critique is welcomed.......... Enjoy!
